Skyjacker front springs, new steering box mount
How many of you are running Skyjacker's 1" front springs? I see from the search function that most of you who have upgraded are running the 2" springs. It looks like to me that they are a little too tall in the front and make the trucks a little nose high. I'm not looking for anything dramatic, just enough to be a little above stock and enough clearance for 285's...anything better than my frowning stockers an inch away from the bump stops has to ride better.
On a side note, those of you waiting to replace/repair your cracked steering box mount need to do it ASAP! It makes for an entirely different driving truck.

Yeah, I'm running 285's on my stock suspension 93'. The pickup rides high in the back and low up front (weight distribution is drastic between front and back). I'd like to make the front end higher to level things out.

It looks like to me that the 2" springs are a little high and do more than just level the truck...it looks like they are actually nose high. That's why I'm interested in the 1" springs. I know that 285's will fit as it is, but I really want to get rid of the frowning stockers and hope fully get a little better ride in return. Those of you running the 1" and the 2" front springs, how much room do you have between the bumpstops and the springs?

I had the 2" springs on mine before I went to the 6" lift and the truck sat perfect. Definetly not nose high. Those springs are now on my dad's 93 I'll try to get a pic of on here so you can see how it sits.

I have the 1" on mine. It sits low in the front, not much higher than the stock springs I pulled out.
It sets level with my trailer and jeep in tow though. The rear really doesn't go down any... it picks up the front.. lol.
