Boiling water works best....

BTW,

Why do you have a Brinks security system on your home ? I though that there wasn't any crime in Canada ? Either that, or people just broke in, borrowed stuff and later returned it better than new, apologizing profusely for using it without your permission ?

I don't use boiling water...just hot water out of the tap. I have been doing this all my life, in temps down into the -30*C...never had a window crack or break.

When I drop the buckets for my crew off at the upholstery shop to get redone, they are gonna get lumbar and heating elements installed. Wife's TDI bug has the butt warmers and my T/A has the power lumbar. I've been spoiled. Not gonna do a road rig without lumbar, that is for sure. And a warm butt in the winter? OOOOH, Man!!!!

Cows did you make the nerf bars on your crew? They look great, do they mount to the body or frame?

Nice work on the mirrors.

They are made by Go Rhino, and are for a 3rd Gen dodge crewcab, I believe....

Here is a link to my build thread, where I installed them. Starting post #1005...

They look good, I personally try and stay away from drilling anything into the body. Everything but my dually and my dads original (he bought new in 92 and only has 67k on it) 92 the rockers are but sensitive to say the least. I do like the finished look. I wish I had a similar one step to mount on my RC.

I tried to come up with a way to mount them without drilling in to the rockers...but couldn't come up with anything. Have since seen a design that would probably have worked.

Got on the Hwy today to and from work...mirrors don't rattle or shake at all. Actually I think they are more stable then the old OEM power units.

I used to have them on my f150 I drove around in for 15 years before my dodges.

Good choice for a mirror...

That solid section probably dampens the vibration.
