Shut-down lever doesn't work
First off I would like to thank everyone for the great information on the site.
now my problems, I turned the key off this weekend and the engine kept on running, so I figured it was time for a pull cable, so i tried the shut-down lever but it just slowed the idle a little.
So what should I do to get the lever to work?
also my pump is leaking fuel from the throttle shaft seal, so I need the seal kit, yet I am working in northern vermont for summer and i'm not sure of any shops that could order the kit.
should I try the dealer, or can I order online?
Any help is appreciated.

I should have looked it over better, I just have to adjust the stop to get the shut-down lever to go further, then it should work.
And I found a seal kit, but it is an hour away. So I guess I will put in the 366 spring and make the trip worth it.

Well I finished putting in the 366 spring, pull cable, and a few new o-rings to seal up my leak.
Everything worked out great, the sticky was a great guide. The wire trick to get the top on without removing the fuel screw worked great and I saved a little more time by using the allen keys with the rounded ends so I didnt need to remove the hight or low idle adjustments.
The new spring is fun, no more leaks, and I dont have to pop the clutch to shut down.
Thanks for the help.
