Shuddering when braking

A while ago i started noticing a shuddering from the front end when braking, a little while later the brakes started giving out and now i have to stand on the pedal to get it to stop. I replace the ose from vac pump to brake booster, also my heater and cruise both work so it shouldnt be the vac pump right? My rotors and brake pads also look fine. any ideas what i should be looking at? thanks guys.

check the vacume to see if it has any, might be the the booster, vac pump, or just the little valve on the booster that the hose hooks to.

Would the shuddering problem be a symptom of no vacuum?

the shudder could be the tie rod
you did just stress all you steering parts at the drags running 4x4

usually shuttering is warped or crack discs..

after you check the vaccum and everythign else I am leaning towards bad brakes.. it happened on my last truck..

I was towing about 9000lbs when trailer brakes started to fail so i was having to use truck brakes to stop entire load, which in turned heated them up to much and warped them.. which then ment I had to put all new brakes on truck

Well I've got plenty of vacuum so that rules out the vac pump, where do i go from here? I want to get the brakes working before i tackle the shuddering problem.

I've got an appt with les schwab for sat. They are going to turn the rotors, repack the bearings, and adjust the rear brakes. They said the rear brakes are way too loose which caused the front brakes to have to carry all the load, heating them up and warping them. I guess we'll have wait and see if they're right. I hope so
