We've already got the room at a resort up there booked. As a firefighter myself, I told the wife I waited to be there. From what I've been told, there is no parking in NYC, we are trying to find out parking at the resort. Otherwise, we're gonna have to find a place to park the beast.

The Holiday inn in FT Lee is great, because it has free parking and is a short 1 dollar bus to the 178th street subway station, then a 8 dollar all day pass later and you can go anywhere in NY. I have done it twice already and I am feeling a little bit like a pro. The room rates right now are 120 bucks a night, way cheap for the NY area. All the Hotels in Manhattan charge around 25 bucks a night extra for parking, on top of their 250 dollar a night rate and the parking may be a few blocks away, I say no way If you like, maybe we can hook up and you can be on the inside, much better than the public ceremonies, sorry public ...Mark

Sounds good Mark. I'll get with my planner, financial manager, supervisor, AKA wife, to get the name of the resort we are staying at up there. I will also send you a message with my number.

so you're going to Florida for spring break without me?? lol. j/k

Honestly I'd drive...I hate flying and i hate air ports and i hate people. Just me and my Stereo in my tinted single cab is what i like....

But i would install a quickie muffler with some band clamps or something...... straight pipe and no overdrive are going to get OLDDDDD after a few hours... Nick, my Dad and I took more trips in that truck we sold you than you think with the same exhaust and man does it get old

Are you putting your 235's back on the rear or leave the 35's on? 35's will get your rpm's down and plus give it that potato digger farm truck look that florida babes love.

Why are you not considering the ram charger with it's overdrive trans and comfy bucket seats?? I think it needs a good road trip anyways!

Let's not even discuss driving your other cummins truck down.......

Oh and don't forget to search craigslist along the way, I'm sure your phone does it. Lots of good cummins stuff in the Carolina's and what not.

Id rather drive anywhere then fly. Put me on a train, bus or boat..but dont throw me in a can of recycled air, nickel and dime me and then lose my luggage. You can get real annoyed on the interstates but you can always pull over too. I live in the Tampa bay area and have gone up to Maine but usually just up to N.Carolina and man I love that drive in the Mountains..prob. cause I am a flatlander.

Yeah i'm not too worried about the truck, the tires on the other hand.... i'm bringing 2 spares. I will be running the 235s and bringing a slue of "justin case" parts.

What kind of muffler would make it better?? do you have one i can borrow ?

As far as driving down i95... i don't really mind, i might be taking 1 on the way back home, not sure depends on how i feel. Also thanks for pointing out that i don't have an intelligent phone so i can't check craigslist on the way down, but i can check before i go n on the way home.

The Ramcharger needs a few things and i'm not looking to find out whats wrong with it 500 miles from home, let alone a thousand.

I'm thinking about making a trip to cananda, maybe niagra falls in the summer time. That may be done in another vehicle, one with more off road capabilities . I would love to go on a trip with a bike, but i don't have one and don't see my self getting one anytime soon.

I'm going to get some things ready i'll be back on later, sorry for the cobbled together response. Thanks for your input guys, if i didn't acknowledge you, its not on purpose.

It's a whole different country when seen from a bike. I highly recommend it Mark

One excellent travel option that hardly anyone ever mentions is AMTRAK.

Along the North-East corridor they even have the "AutoTrain" where they load your vehicle onto the train, while you ride one of the passenger coaches.

When you get to Florida, they off-load your vehicle and you are all set.

I'd drive, I like control of my fate. Not to mention I'm not to keen on the horny x-ray machine workers that'll use any excuse to fondle you.

yeah delays are a b. i'm not sure about controlling your fate... but putting your life in someone else's hands is hard enough, not to mention when you can't see that person.
