Serp belt tensioner
I have a squeak in the 93 work/parts truck. AC is disconnected, but still in. The AC pulley might be the squeak.
Question is..... If I put a non-ac belt in, do I need to change the tensioner as the belt wraps around the other way? (grooves in, instead of out)
What is the correct length for a non AC belt on an intercooled truck?
Thanks in advance

I have seen several old 1st gens with the NON A/C belt on a motor with A/C, and a frozen pump.
The tensioner was not changed on these trucks.
I don't now the length off hand.

Quick answer... No. It just wraps around the opposite way.
Gates' part numbers usually designate the last 3 digits as the belt length...
K080635 - So, 63.5" ??

I was In Wyoming far from home when I smelled something burning, compressor idler bearing, hit buffalo for the non ac belt, and worked just fine, im always carring the belt, redundance is king!

I've had a non-a/c belt on for a couple months, pulley is wrong the other way (flat vs grooved side) but no issue so far. Tension seems weak, but made a few 1/8th mile passes, no slip or thrown belts.
