Runs then Dies
My truck runs well for about 5 miles then it dies. I have replaced the fuel filter after the first time it died, the lift pump is only about 1 year old, I have checked the shut off solenoid on the IP but only electrically, do these things work intermittantly when they are getting worn out? I have had a problem there before but i just replaced the stock connector on the wiring.
The previous owner put a second fuel filter on is this a good thing or not i have been reading about the longer fuel filters some of you use and was wondering which set up is better

Does it just quit like when you turn the key off, or does it stumble and die? If it just quits, try hotwiring the solenoid to the + battery terminal. If that's a fix, perhaps the ignition switch key-on source has a short of some sort. If it dies off slowly, like it's running out of fuel, I'd have a close look at the filters and connections. Maybe you're a bit gelled up. Hope this helps.
