Was it up hill both ways too? J/K
You are the man, were you all bundled up like that kid from the Chrismast story? I don't know what to do when grids try to come on, we are sitting at 102ish right now and the sun is almost down!

It wasn't up hill but it was in the snow.

Seriously though Sarge, gut the grid even if it is only til you can get a new one. You'll be fine.

Ofcmarc i took your advice gutted the grid. I got her all put back together. I got a price from dodge today for the grid heaters. It took them over an hour to look it up in the books it wasnt even on the computers. It is 267 with a big work discount. So i decided to go with out for awhile. I put new bolts in the holes were the grid heaters were with the original o rings and little rubber sleeves. Seems to work okay.

Now i have some more questions. When i fired her over she kind of stuttered a little bit and then idled weird..............but now its fine. Any thoughts???

I also swiss cheesed the airbox got a new filter and wow what a difference. I dont know how much you can tell. But i can so here the little guy whistle now its great i couldnt stop smiling.

Thanks for all the help and i will post some pics of it.

Take a good look at your fuel system. Without the grids to help you need a completely tight fuel system. NO AIR in the fuel.

When I went Swiss cheese on the airbox my turbo started singing more too. N

Hey Sarge,

Find one of them southern boys that don't need a grid and see if they'll send you the grids cheaper than the dealer.
