Rockers

Ok im finally gettin back together, slow progress. ive to the head on and torqued down, how do i get the rockers back on? do i have to unbolt the push rod end?

I'm not sure I understand the question. It is easier to put them on if you back out the adjuster screws.

Just follow the normal valve adjustment procedure.

Sorry, I thought you had adjusted the valves before.

Here's a link to how to do it. Real easy, especially since you already have the valve covers off.

If I were you, I'd run it a while to get it up to operating temp. Then let it cool off and re-torque the head bolts and re-adjust the valves.

Ok come clean, you're selling this truck as soon as you get it back together?? That or you just like doing a job twice ? Never never use anything other than Cummins parts on the Cummins engine. It's a 5.9 Cummins not a 5.9 gasser, so parts store parts are not worthy. I'm sorry man, but the Cummins gasket would've been worth saving the money up for.
