Did anyone else see the 14mm VE pump in the latest diesel power? It says it's built by rocken-tech and it's only 426 bucks! I know this is to good to be True. What gives? If it is true. My visas ready....

I met a guy from west Texas that has been running one for about 1 1/2 years or so he says, I looked at the engine and it appeared to have been running for awhile. This is his 2nd one due to not listening to those that know, the 1st one came apart. He has the supporting mods on this one. 6x16 injectors, large fuel lines, big electric pump ect. I'll say it runs pretty good, rolls alot of smoke, accelerates real good. With supporting mods you will probably get pretty decent service and performance from it. Wish I had one.

I would think that price is just the head and rotor, not an entire pump.

^^ This.

You install it or pay someone to do so. Then you get to live with it. Some have had good success. Others, . . . not so much.

It is just head and rotor only, you install. From what I've read and heard IF you have the supporting mods they aren't bad. I've also have been told they come apart with anything less than 6x14 injectors BUT I don't know, from my understanding the smaller injectors create too much backpressure on the head but that's hearsay!!

Theory is that bigger injectors allow less pressures to be created in the h&r. Sience proves smaller holes give better spray/atomization. Which gives better burn rates. So its a fine line between fire hose nozzles that keep the stress on the pump down and small nozzles that give better performance.

There is Austin that has been running this setup for quite a while while doing more RPM's than everyone say can be done with the 14 and as far as I know he's still doing great in the brush pulls.
