Got my parts this week off a 1974 Power wagon.
Mount, Gearbox, Pitman arm, Pump. The draglink & steering shaft were shot.
Now for the cool stuff.
Gearbox input shaft is a 3/4 X 30 same size as a chevy truck and a XJ cherokee.
So what Im going to do is take the chevy shaft Rag joint HALF & the XJ 3/4 X 30 u joint HALF and marry the two together.
Im going to have me a BETTER than borgeson shaft for $10.86
OH BTW I believe you can take a chevy box and bolt it to the dodge. CHECK TO MAKE SURE.

Bob,
Enjoying the snow you said you never get ???? Liar liar, pants on fire !
What is the top steering shaft you have in your pic ? The bottom is the boregson, right ?
I still don't have my gear back, but I've been on the lookout for the shaft as mine is all boogered up by a previous welder.

Thanks for the Info, Bob,
Here are the pix, I promised you. Sorry, I'm still not back to feeling better, otherwise I would have put them up sooner. I let the parts sit in overnight, and by morning the rust is completely gone and neutralized. All that's left is to throw a coat of primer and paint on it, and mount it up..
Thanks to Papecat for the arm. Really cool you did that for me... You gave me an arm, and I threw you a leg.... or at least a bunch of tunes to put on your IPOD....
Pitman arm 1/2 way through the rust converting process
I just used an old orange juice container that I cut open to sit the arm into. overnight
Here's the first test of the extra PS Gear plate I picked up recently.
This is the stuff I use to convert rust. It's mainly phosphoric acid, but I'm sure there's a few other things in it I wouldn't want to know about.

Fyi...
The steering shaft I have on my truck (Borgeson #000940) to fit the OEM steering box fits a 3/4" shaft with 36 splines.
I'm told the Reverse Rotation steering box input shaft is 13/16" diameter with 32 splines.
The technician at Borgeson informed me that he can supply me a new U-joint to make my current shaft fit the Reverse Rotation box.

FYI Whats that about.
Why would I give 220$ for a piece of junk when I can get something of quality for 10$
FYI--The RR steering GEAR which has the JEEP shaft on IT which fits into the CHEVY shaft which bolts onto the DODGE rag joint is ON my truck.

Today I got my new DL & put it in
Just got back from taking her for a drive. Im taking corners at speeds that I"d never do with the stock system.
The real cool thing not one custom made part.
NOW for the super bonus no more 4 1/4 turn steering gear now 3.1

nice. Wish I saw this post before I sent my box out for regearing. I would've just sourced a jeep shaft and bolted it all in...

Didn't realize that Bob was going to outdo everyone here and come up with a workable, nearly bulletproof setup.
Great work, Bob. I'll fill you in when I get mine underway.

Nice find, looks like I have to get underway searching the yards as well. The C10 shouldn't be hard to find, but the jeeps who knows. People hold on to them around here and wheel em...
No worries T man. I'm a copy "Pape"CAT too.

Just a heads up on the new Reverse rotation style Drag links:
Daves discount auto parts has the NEW MOOG DS879 4500 lb drag links for 35 bucks... This is almost as cheap as the rock auto clearance ones I bought last year. Your other options are napa at 160+ or Rock auto at around 100-130.
Just wanted to pass the deal on...
google shopping search term "moog ds879"
Now off to find a steering box bracket and the upper and lower steering shafts......
