Replacement latch for sliding rear window?
Hadn't really worried about the latch missing since the headache rack makes it impossible to gain access thru the back window... unless you 6" around or have 4' long arms!
However, soon I'm gonna chop a few of the horz. "louvers" out of the headache racks center... between them & the gasket sections on the slider, it's too "busy" trying to see out the back!
Anyone got a source for a replacement latch or an ultra cool to make one?

You could also order the latch, Mopar P/N-3731078 from the link below...
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=213674
It is a genuine Mopar part and it is usually less expensive than ordering it through a dealer.

that link is for a dealer who has decided to sell wholesale on the internet. that's why it mopar parts in mopar boxes. make no mistake about it, mopar is very protective of the dodge, jeep, chrysler and mopar labels. when you see a site with that much product badging, its either a official mopar site (not in this case, since mopar will not sell direct to the public) or a dealer.
thier price is 7.50. standard mopar wholesale (trade price) is 8.00. they're giving you 25% off instead of 20%. not a bad deal at all. add in the minimum $6.85 shipping and handling and its not such deal. $14.35 to your door. local dealer at retail ($10.00) plus tax (8.75% here) and your at $10.88. add in fuel to drive to the local dealer (at $3.00 per gallon) and it will be close.
btw, dont misunderstand my intent in the post. i'm glad that some dealers are taking an aggressive sales approach and maximizing the internet. and i do believe it's needed for people who live far away from a dealer or who have a local parts department operated by grumpy old farts who are less than helpfull to a guy whose enthsiastic over a 15 year old truck. i just hope i dont fall into that last category .

Look on the "Help" rack in Advance Auto. I found tyhem in a blister pack there tthe last time I needed one. Mine is broke at present but I am reluctant to fix it because i keep locking the keys in the truck with the ignition on. That darn pull cable!.
