Replace Windshield Wiper Grommets, Question
My windshield wipers quit working, the drive link fell off of the motor. I removed both put assemblies and drive linkage assembly replaced all four a little plastic grommets. Replaced everything turned on the wipers and a driver's wiper swings past the edge of the windshield, the passenger windshield wiper swings in its normal path. Any ideas what I did wrong? Of course I completed reassembled everything.

You can pull that wiper arm off the splined pivot shaft and reposition it very easily. There should be a release latch on the arm, you have to carefully pry it up off the splined shaft. Careful not to bust the windshield etc. Reposition it a few splines and try it. Move it a few more if needed.

When they are off, is the driver's side higher than the other one? If it is, the wiper arm may need to be repositioned. I just went through this the other day. Here's the thread.
To get the arm off, you have to lift it away from the windshield and then swing that little tab to release it. If you're like me, you'll have to do it a few times to get it right.

In the process I had removed both wiper spindles and reassembled everything outside of the vehicle, the spindles looked the same although I did not compare very closely nor do I mark right and left. I will call the Dodge Park House and see if they are different. The position of the arms in the park position is correct. It's just that the drivers wiper goes past the edge of the windshield, the park position for both is correct. I'm hoping is a difference in the spindles.

I just called Dodge parts department and they tell me there is a left and a right spindle. Apparently I interchange them during a reassembly. Thanks the responses looks like I'll take it back apart and do it correctly.
