Removing IP
If I remove the IP, do I have to reset the timing on the gears? Is there a reason I cant put it back to where it is when I removed it? Just going to pull the pump and do a re-seal.

I almost have my pump off, how do I separate it from the gear through the timing cover? Really isn't much to these pumps after looking at the re-seal diagram. Also, I don't see a lock washer, looks like a wrench that you torque down. Do I need this?

the washer you need, If you remove it then tighten the bolt down it locks the pump in place, then when you unlock the pump you put the washer in and tighten the bolt against that, Make sense????
You need a T-bar puller theres two bolt holes in the gear, Go to the sticky and theres videos on how to remove it and explains every thing. or actually heres the link.

when you pull the pump apart make sure the dowl pin on the cam plate lines up with the key on the shaft, I couldn't find much information when i pulled mine apart and the cam fell out before i could see how it was lined up and when i put it back together i was 180 off.

Yeah, I marked the pump the pump on the back of the timing cover so when I put it back into the engine it should be where it was normally.
