Question relocating coolant resivoir

I am installing the Old Smokey mount off of Bumpy's template. I cant get it to go in without removing the coolant resoviour and cant figure out where to remount the thing. any suggestions? I have doule checked it and have the dimensions correct.
It looks like I could trim the face of the AF Mount to fit around it, and the A/C collector as well, but see in the pics that it shouldn't be neccasary.

Mine fit, you cant put the filter and mount in one piece, put the filter in and then wriggle the mount in place- I had to unbolt the a/c collector and move it to the side and then reattach. Also get some pipe strapping (lowe's, HD) and support the filer to the mount/shield. If all else fails move the overflow until its in and put back in place.

Plan B- vasaline and BFH

hope this helps,
Michael

I just installed my Smoky mount/Bhaf and yes it will all fit but it`s tight. I put a couple of pics in my gallery (pending approval). What i did was to put the stepped flange underneath the fender and i was able to move the entire assembly back a little further. And 92diesel, i got mine to go in assembled...but it was a TIGHT squeeze .

That's how it's supposed to be.

I can't believe you got it in as an assembly. You're a better man than I.

OK, I trimmed the front of the mount back about 1/2" and put the flange under the fender and it went in pretty easy. I still had a slight clearance problem with teh A/C collector, so I made a small notch there , and it looks like it was made to go in there.. I mounted the AF to the mount and slid it in as an assembly with the hose attached... was I not suppossed to do that??

If you can do it, great! I was unable to get mine in as an assembly. I must have missed something obvious.

I should add that when i installed it I had the a/c reciever drier unbolted and also the coolant tank was out. It was a tight squeeze past the a/c lines but it went.
