Relays and stuff - starter and shut-down
I am going to re-ask a question I started in another thread, so as to avoid hijacking the other guy's thread...
1. Right now my starter is hot wired directly to a 50amp "starter button" under my dash. If I wanted to run the wires from the steering column (that go to the starter relay) over to the button, which (color) wires am I looking for?
2. Can I remove the shut-down solenoid altogether and just use the cable that everyone was talking about in the other thread to kill the motor?

I dont know anything about wiring, but you need to pull the solenoid off of your pump, and take the plunger and the spring out. then put the solenoid back in. there is a bracket right behind the solenoid that makes getting the 15/16 wrench on it a pain in the keester. so cut that bracket off as low as you can get it. it is not used for anything.to get the plunger and spring out, just turn the solenoid up side down and they will fall out. they may even stay in the pump when you pull the solenoid, so just pull them out of the pump. you dont need to put the wires back on the solenoid if you dont want to. they wont do you many good now.
