I've never rebuilt an auto trans before, but that went really well! The truck is like a new machine. Now I just have to figure out why my speed sensor isn't working- I pulled out the overdrive/direct clutch assembly without pulling the VSS, maybe I broke it Gotta try the drill thing tomorrow. Maybe I pinched the harness in the bellhousing (kidding, I checked that already!) BTW, the suncoast converter rocks

Nice job and good pics. We didn't go into mine that far. We just changed the second and third gear seals and the accumulator seals along with the springs, a couple valves and a little free hand machining. The torque converter is DTT and it rocks too.

Now you just need a 4-link, rear suspension, taller springs in the front with shock towers through the hood, and that'll be a mean ride!

Nice work! Cooler is in a great location, should be well enough protected with the steel grate. I'd keep a close eye on it just the same because it is facing right down close to the pavement so somewhat exposed to any kind of road debris coming up at you. One lucky (bad choice of words) little nut or bolt gets through could nick that aluminum tubing and ruin your day.

I found out what was wrong with my VSS, apparently there is only one way out of the 4 that it can go in there and have it work properly
