Rear pinion seal part #?
Well my rear pinion seal is leaking and I went into NAPA and asked if they could get me one. The guy then said that he would need info on what kind of rear I have and what axles are there and ring gear size and on and on. What kind of rear end did my truck come with? Is the any way to tell from the VIN?

should be a DANA 70. open the hood, and look on the driver's side on the bottom of the hood and there should be a sticker that says what it is. thats where mine says D70. or check the glove box.
