rear main seal
Hi all,
I have noticed my rear seal seems to be leaking a little more than it used to. When the tranny is out should I be looking for anything else or performing any preventive maintenance?
Thanks in Advance
Bob

Be sure and check your cam plug as well. Alot of times they will seep and look like the rear main. Most of the time a light strike to the middle of the plug and a layer of silicone around the plug will stop it. The seal isnt hard to install. Just be sure and clean the crank real good before mounting the seal and use the seal pilot that comes with the crank seal. The flywheel should be torqued to 101 ft lb. in a star pattern
