I had a 66 Porsche 912 with that internal drum type parking brake, probably the most secure pb that I have ever seen, it would kill the motor. I have the egr kit with the cad caliper, so far so good...Mzrk

Thanks for the hose and adapter links, those were the last two things holding me up. I have the bolt on Caliper brackets, probably have to do some shimming to get them where I want them, allows me the option to switch back to drums just in case (can't imagine why I would).

Yup, me too, I kept all of the old drum brake stuff, it only had a few thousand miles on all of it...Mark

Bolton is the way I would go too for the same reasons. Plus less chance of heat warpage from welding.

I like the egr kits ability to be removed. A decent writeup is on this page :

Looks like a pretty good kit.

I think at some point I will start gathering parts.

Next time I need brakes for the rear of my brick, I'll buy the bolt on kit and do a write up on it. Right now, all the stuff on my diff is less than a year old, so I'm living with it until it dies, or I get a bunch of cash from somewhere.

I think it would make a great upgrade to my pig...

What do y'all do with the prop valve when changing to rear disc? And isn't there a residual valve that keeps slight pressure to the rears for the drums? I'm about to do the conversion also. I put hydroboost on and ditched the RWAL a long time ago. My brakes work better but still not good enough. Thanks.
