Rear Dana 70 Power Loc
Ok, I rebuilt the rear diff/carrier. New clutch pack, soaked the clutches in the friction modifer for 40 min and put in two 4 oz bottles of the friction modifer in the oil. I drove 300 miles with a car trailer this weekend. Rear diff housing was about 150 degrees after the pull home, no real problem there. Now in sharp slow turns the rear axle stays locked. Both rear tires leave tire rub marks in the truns. Will the clutches start moving with a little use?

Hmmm. Mine is pretty tight but not that tight. Try running a few idle-speed figure 8's in a parking lot to see if you can get it to pop a few times and work some lube in there.
