My buddy has a setup on his 98 24 valve with a Raptor 150 and 2 frame mounted filters. Seemed to work great for him, he even ran it with just his stock filter setup for a while til he got the frame filters rigged up. The Raptor and Airdog II's both have the adjustable regulator to adjust the pressure. I have an Airdog II 200 that I bought used a few years back. I'm running my custom fuel sump and relay is hooked to the FSS to kick the pump on. I was running 14 psi with my 12mm pump, and it was nice to just turn a screw to crank it up to 25-30psi when I put my 14mm VE on the other day. I've never had a problem with my Airdog and its fairly quiet, you can barely hear it with the truck idling. My friends Raptor is quiet as well, you can't hear it all with that 24 valve running. Either way they are both a great product, the Airdog has everything you need in one package, but the filters are expensive, the unit costs more, and you have the return line. The Raptor 150 would flow plenty of fuel for your power goals and still do the job, with your stock filtration setup or an auxillary filter setup. Its all in your preference and how much time/money you want to spend.

I've got same two frame mounted filters you listed above in combination with a Raptor 150. I like the raptor's alot...I've abused mine considerably, and it keeps on going. Even when they're mounted, it's extremely easy to drop the geroter assembly out for cleaning/inspection/etc.

Aren't the filters replaceable with Fleetguards?

The filters I run are:

FS1221 Water separator and prefilter
FF5320 2 micron high efficiency

Due to the holding capacity of these filters, you'll likely get 25,000 - 50,000 miles on them before you see any pressure drop.

Thanks, Eric. I was referring to the filters on the Airdog itself. I swear I've seen Fleetguards on them in the past. And I know I've seen a website that listed the cross referencing numbers for them.

There are some other ones out there, but those numbers should get you started.

Thank you, sir!

Here's another dilemma I'm trying to figure out. The 1/2" stainless tubing I'm considering is actually the OD. The ID is 3/8". I'm wondering if that would still supply plenty of fuel to the pump or if I should just use the hoses that come with the pump?

I think for less than 700 hp, you'll be fine either way. The most critical line diameter is between the tank and the pump...you want that large if possible. After the pump, 3/8" is plenty fine.

Word direct from Giles and Airdog says that the 3/8" ID of the 1/2" tubing is more than plenty of flow.
