Radio is driving me nuts.
My factory am/fm casette radio in my truck is driving me nuts. Sometimes it works and sometimes it wont. I checked all the wiring and it all seems ok. sometimes the clock will be on and when I turn the radio on everything goes off on the radio. I have tried shaking wires, beating the dash and beating the radionone of wich have worked. I really like the stock looking radio and do not need a cd player but I might just have to buy a new radio.

My aftermarket radio did that, so I just went around all the factory wiring and solved the problem. If it is your radio, you can find them all over ebay in cassette or cd that are factory dodge for cheap.

Any chrysler radio that is that size will work. I had a radio out of a plymouth acclaim for a while and it plugged right in. I have a CD player out of a 02' i got out of the junkyard in it right now.

I found a burnt wire coming from the headlight switch which comes from the running lights and feeds power to dim the radio. This was a bare wire right by the head light switch.

I had the exact same symptoms. I replaced it with a unit out of a 2001 Durango. am/fm casette cd with eq Just saying casette feels out of date, my daughter may never know what one really is let alone own one.
