By venting underhood hot air, it'll keep the cab cooler and allow more airflow through the radiator/condenser and reduce the amount of hot air being sucked into the engine (as long as there's a way for cooler outside air to get to the air filter).
The claims are it'll reduce underhood temperatures by 100 degrees.

I've got MR2 vents where the RAM 250 emblems are. Lower on the fender just in front of the door. My truck wasn't just painted, so I pulled the emblems and cut a big square hole !!!

YES - I do need to get them powder coated...Paint won't do.
IT DID drop my underhood temps ~ 75 with the sensor sitting at the junction of the Intercooler pipe and the cast intake manifold.
