A quick survey!
I was just wondering how many of you use your first gen rigs for long hauls of all types?? Such as hotshot, racecar hauler, travel trailer towing, e.t.c. If so do you have a pic of your rig? I will, as soon as i can figure out how!! I guess i am just curious if people out there use the first gens for to "Get er done" Also, are we the outcasts here??? theres all these forums for the 94 and up trucks and the 94 and up 12 valve but nothing except the "General first gen ram forum" are we the odd man out here? Anyway, i dont want to stir up trouble, just a little observation! On the first note, lets see those rigs!!!

While it was my Father-in-law who bought this truck, I helped with the sleeper/bed installation. In '91 he was traveling a lot. He sold and delivered silage bags which weighed up to 400lbs each. There was enough room to throw 12-18 on the back - then off for a 800-2000 mile round trip to deliver about 1-2 times a week during haying time. He really enjoyed the sleeper as he could catch several hours of sleep when needed. I would travel with him frequently as I worked 12 hour shifts 3-4 days a week. We would take at the time my 3yo daughter who would be happy in the back.
After his death in '98 I got the truck and I use it to haul my RV trailer and ATVs. This year it got a disassemble - paint - reassemble and we really like it. Just finshed a 1500 mile roundtrip to Albuquerque (to see my brother) and back in it. It did great

I wouldnt say that we first geners are the "odd man out" really. The new vehicles will get more attention than the older it seems. I feel that there is more than enough brains to pick and resources to help out with any question/problem I have with my first gen. I dont hotshot or anything but I would not hesitate do go cross country with mine.

Long haul livestock here.
There is nothing you can load in a gooseneck that can come near the weight that can walk on as cows.
I go all over the country with no hesitation.
In my area, I am not alone in this; the new truck crowd doesn't have the nerve that it takes to get way out yonder with a load of cattle; us old truck guys range far.
