Quick question

I hate that light... I rarely see it. When I do I get that anxious feeling.
What I find interesting is the last 1/4 tank seems to last longer than the first 3/4 ... on the stock gauge that is. Last 1/4 stretches out a ways.

Well I'm at school and I filled up 10 gallons cause I don't drive nough to keep a full tank, and the fuel gage went up to just shy of half take. I fugured that I had 4 gallons left, did I did get about 18 mpg which is good seeing how I mostly drive in the city and some on the freeway with 4:10's.
I'm pleased with it and now I know how many gallon I have left
Thanks for the feedback guys

I had an interesting low fuel experience running on my auxiliary tank a few weeks ago. It is mounted crossways in the bed under the toolbox with the pickup/sender on the driver side. It was showing around a third of a tank or about 16 gallons (50 gal tank). So I switched over to get it down a bit more before fill up. Seemed odd how it would show up to a half tank when I rounded right turns, even though it does have baffles in there to help keep it from sloshing around too much.
Next day with probably still at least 10 gallons in there, I turn left at an intersection and the thing starts sputtering but picks up and runs OK the rest of the way home. Pressure was fluctuating though, so I took it real easy on the left turns. Darn thing was sucking air with ten gallons in it just because of the fuel sloshing around with normal driving. Had to bleed the injectors to get it started again the next day! Won't be running below a third of a tank on the auxiliary anymore. Could be an issue on any tank I suppose, depending on the design. Maybe up or down hill could cause problems from the stocker running low.
