I don't know how important the torque value is on the nut on the shaft when you put the WH1C wheel on. I looked high and low for an appropriatly sized wrench but I didn't want to pay $200. for one so I got out my bathroom scales and did some math to get it close. SO far it's held together. If it's to loose the torque on the shaft should tighten things up anyway.

There's really no secret magic in these turbo's as far as putting them together. The shaft is actually designed to be loose to allow lots of oil to flow and keep the bearings cool. As long as the wheel from the WH1C is OK then use it. You'll need to grind the flange off of it to connect it to your stock crossover unless you have an IC in which case it should be a bolt up job. You'll also need a 2-1/2 to 2 inch reducer hose coupler. You can get them on Ebay.

OK, NOW I think I got it!! Hit me in the head enough and eventually it will set in... I had re-read your earlier replies and half the time it read to me as though the WH1C would fit directly onto the H1C wheel assembly, half the time it didn't. So it WON'T go straight on - Dang!! I knew it sounded too easy! Problem is with the parts, they are all mix 'n match; the actual turbo cold side housing IS a WH1C(verified with tag), but the broken-eared wheel/shaft/bearing center assembly that came with it must NOT be, as the housing doesn't even come close to fitting over the wheel. The seller told me these were leftover parts from his swap, so I was just hoping the WH1C housing would slip over my H1C wheel in-place. Guess that ain't gonna woik!! Well maybe the 12cm exhaust will woik...thanks a million guys, sorry for my confusion, after reading the entire thread yet again, I see where my confusion lay. Seeya!!

OK, well just order yourself a WH1C wheel and you're gold. They're only about $65. I think. Well worth it IMHO.
