Pyro temps
Hey everbody. Im new here DTR seems like a great resource and its nice to find so many diesel junkies....
i just bought a 93 diesel dually 4x4 auto .. the pyro is installed after the turbo onto a 3" DP .. under full load 22-25psi boost(@ manifold) pyro temp climbs to approx 800 +-50 ferhnieght after a minute or two (reaching approx 65mph)... what is max safe temp after turbo for these things...
this was done with no extra weight --unloaded --

I'd drill and tap the manifold, plug the exhaust pipe, and get a REAL pyro reading. The t-couple being post turbo is useless, IMO, unless you use it strictly for cool down.
