Pulse exhaust manifold
Is there any difference in the BD Pulse exhaust manifold & the ATS Pulse exhaust manifold for the 1992 CTD with IC? They both look like good units & the price is about the same. I am going to be ordering one or the other this week & was looking for a little input on what you have or heard about them.
Thanks again Guys!!!

I read over on the other forum that the ATS manifold flowed 30% more than I think it was the BD on a flow bench. Don't quote me on that though. The ATS flowed 30% more than a different companies, I just can't remember 100% if it was BD or not
I would go with the ATS regardless though.

I've heard of more people having better luck with PDI's. Do a little searching and you'll see that the ATS and HTT have had a lot of problems with cracking. It's also been proven that the stock manifold is good for ~500RWHP.

I posted the results of a flow bench on this website in the 12 valve forum a couple years ago.
The results were:
Ported HTT/BD flowed 20% more than a ported stocker.
The stock ATS flowed 30% more than the ported stocker.
Man running the flow bench said the stocker and the BD/HTT were loud on the bench; the ATS was quieter.

My stock manifold is junk so I want to replace it with something a little better. Thanks for the tip on the PDis. I haven't hear of them before tonight.

Like mentioned before, the BD manifold is more prone to cracking. I've also read HTT manifold is known to crack more than PDI and ATS manifolds...just my two cents.

I recommend you search and ask questions on all the diesel forums for what they cost Jim. It looks to me that people are shelling out considerably for some of these and then having to port them! I cannot even go there... It better be there already for that money I tell ya... I personally would get a good used one or aftermarket new and spend my money somewhere else, especially considering the HP potential without it. If mine craps on me, I'm spending less in that area and more in the turbo, but I don't plan on or need 350-500hp...

Thanks again guys!!
I ordered a PDI manifold today. They don't have the listing for the first Gen but I'm changing to a PS IC & changing to a different turbo so the 2nd gen 12V should work good for me.
