Well, this weekend is probably gonna end up being a 1000 mile weekend for the old girl. Went to Webster city IA to get a clean 80s chevy dually box with a buddy bout 500 miles round trip. Then tomorow were going to Salina KS for easter with my sister and I also get to till the garden while I'm there.

I thought Nebraska was supposed to be laid back?

Nebraska is pretty laid back. I just like goin and doin stuff on the weekends, And I now trust the dually to go about anywhere. Everytime I've taken it somewhere its performed flawlessly.
Only had 1 little snafu today, Broke the cruise cable about 50 miles from home.
BTW mileage this weekend was 18.7 from my travels during the week and to Webster city and 17 from there to Salina with a stop at home and to drop the box off at my buddys place. the 17 mpg was loaded with the dually box and we also had a very stiff cross/head wind

Sounds like my W350 MPG with 4.10 gearing, between 17.5 and 18.5 consistently with mostly highway. Our 91 W250 gets right at 21 MPG mostly highway with the 727 auto and 3.07s. I can see how the 92/93 W250 trucks with 3.54 gearing and 4 speed autos can make 23 MPG or better if our 91 achieves 21 mpg.

Funny, I called a bit ago to ask about how it went and got the damnable VM instead.
Too bad we can't roadtrip to get those two 6.7s I nabbed in Minnesota, that'd be a nice ride for the 1 ton.
Mark.

LOL, if I were well off, I'd actually have a shop instead of the blue & green one I have.
The 6.7s are just cheap core motors with physical damage.
I could never afford a nice runner, much less driving to go get them, too.
