maybe so. but these will absolutely have the correct spray angle. before i could say anything about spray angle and whatnot, the guy's were taking the words right out of my mouth. they're very knowledgeable having done this many times over.

can you elaborate on how a lower popping pressure would make more power? i don't know much about injectors, but it almost doesn't make sense to me.

260 bar will be harder on the pump, some have run pods a long time with no issues but if you have a choice go 245. if you stay w/260 bar you have advance timing more to compensate for slightly retarded timing from higher pop. if you get injectors and bodies say lucas delphi you got pods.

the technician told me that raising the popping pressure will have no effect on the the performance of the pump. i found info somewhere that said the VE's put out about 17,000psi. the pump effects the injectors. the injectors don't effect the pump. the injectors are only for metering and atomizing and they'll only put out what the pump gives them. he said it would be like running the stock injectors again and therefore pointless if they set the popping pressure back to 245. although, he did say that i may have to advance my timing slightly.

Uh, the VE runs about a tenth of that.
Higher pop pressure will work the pump harder, it puts more stress on the cam plate and rollers. The pump puts out enough pressure to work the injectors that are connected to it, if that makes more sense.

it does make sense. just other words for what i said as far as the pump effecting the injectors, it makes them work. so then what could result from higher pop pressure and a harder working pump? a shorter pump life would be my first guess.

good information! thanks bgilbert, dave and crewcab! i'm glad i have places like this to go to. i won't lose any performance out of them setting them back to 245 will i?

I do have 1 question. I read back in the thread a little and he says they are using his 9 mm bodies and changing the tips to 4x14's. I thought that the lucas injector parts were not interchangable? Maybe he is getting what he thinks.
