for cheaper, the entire setup of the low pressure piston LP would put you at 15psi and for even cheaper you could just buy the pump and build your supply lines to the filter and on to the injection pump inlet. also, mechanical stuff is usually easier to troubleshoot than electrical. i never look forward to tracing an electrical problem when ones comes up.

well if that's your goal, it sounds like that wouldn't be a bad deal then. especially if you're building supply lines straight from the tank. kinda nice that the one they have is adjustable as well. says it comes preset at 12psi and can go up to 15psi. i'd set it at 15psi and forget it.

I've heard the 4601hp Carter pump is a good upgrade and is what I'll be installing. Can be had for $120. They are the same pump (with different fittings) as the 24v's. The biggest problem on the 24v's had to do with being mounted too far away from the tank I'm told. Mount it closer to the tank (less draw restriction) and since they have 3/8" NPT fittings, they can accommodate larger lines for power and longevity of the pump. Food for thought for less than 1/2 the price. 100GPH at 16-18psi it claims.

Thanks for all the input guys. I broke down and just bought an airdog 150. The plans for the truck are to have a 2nd gen engine, and trans so i know ill want to make big power one day, so why not just bite the bullet today and buy the good pump the first time instead of buyin the PPE then the air dog. Ill start a thread with pics and everything once ups brings me the pump and i get it installed

which air dog did you buy? They have one for the 1st gens but don't advertise it (or they didn't used to). It will be regulated for 15 or 18psi or something but still with 150gph. If you got one for a 2nd gen you'll need a bypass regulator.

Make sure you double check the pressure on it so you don't blow out your front seal and fill your crankcase with diesel.
