The easy handyman way to test a oil cooler is drill 2 holes in a 1x4 that line up with the oil ports and slide the stem of grommet style valve stem through it. Then clamp it to the oil cooler so it seals the valve stem against the port. Put 50psi in it and dunk it in water to check for bubbles
