I saw them in person this afternoon and they look awesome Apparently that Cummins paint is thick..JR said it took MANY hours to get them done I know he used a wire wheel and then a few different grades of sandpaper. Puts my underhood area to shame

Looking forward to the photos. Cummins grey is good enough for a plain jane truck like mine, but I bet they look very fancy all polished up!
BTW, I would try laquer thinner to soak the paint off before buffing, FWIW.

Sorry guys, I havent had anytime to get those pictures. Between my son, and Greg helping me turn er up and work. I will get some today while im puttin on the my new 4" DP!!!
That Cummins paint is a ROYAL PITA! It took me 9 hours to get them done!!! I had to reverse my wire wheel just to scratch that 330K mile paint, then 120Grit. I HIGHLY recommend some sort of paint thinner or something of that nature. hehehe, lets just say I donated a little blood to the cause as well (stupid wire wheel)

I have a little wire wheel on a die grinder which will flat remove skin in a hurry! It also sometimes sheds little pieces of wire which get embedded in my arms. Be sure to wear safety glasses unless you're looking to collect disability for blindness.
Maybe us gearheads could have a convention to compare power tool scars.

Got a picture added FINALLY! sorry only one, stupid digital is all messed up.
I been bit several times by that wire wheel (im always using it) but its never done anything before just a little rug burn, but because I turned it around the bristles were pointing in the direction the wheel was rotating! hehehe lucky for me I had 5 Coors in my system so it didnt really hurt much. hehehe
