POD's didnt seem to do anything?

So before my boost numbers were right in the area of 26 psi under load.
I was hoping the pods would put me up in around 40 psi?
I only gained 3 psi and now under load my max psi is 29. There is a lot more smoke but i don't notice much more power?

I'm sort of disappointed

The pods arnt leaking. Im using the .020 washers also....

What else would there be to check or is this all that I'm going to get out of pods?

Well I used to run custom edm's. Then i removed that set up 2 times and went back to stock. Then i just recently sold that whole system and I was stock for a while. Then I put pods in and it didnt seem to make much of a difference for me.

That would be about 34psi of boost with a 16cm housing. 38psi with a 12cm. Maybe you just need to turn your fuel screw in.

The general rule of thumb is 1psi of boost for every 1cm drop in housings. I would guess you'd feel the quicker spool up of course usually associated with the small housing. On the dyno your torque number would be a little bit higher, but horsepower down a bit. Whether or not it's noticeable via the seat of the pants, maybe not.

I'm not sure of the pop pressure. I bought them off a guy on ebay. Brand new.

Well i just took the turbo off and threw a rebuild kit at it while i put the 12cm on there and put new seals on it also.. Still the same boost. Im not blowing black smoke at WOT just a slight haze that is almost un-noticable. Also checked for boost leaks. My last guess is that my boost gauge wont go past 28psi and is stuck for some reason.

I was surprised how dramatic the size drop was from the 21 to the 12.
Heres a pic of it.

Yeah its on the dodge. It just hooks into the boost line to the waste gate.

I think the problems are now solved. The turbo actually sounds cool at idle. And it has power like crazy now. I dont know what i did or what happened but the boost is the same but it has a lot more power to it. Oh well so long as its fixed i guess.

would be nice to know hat it was, maybe the boost controller was not letting pressure back out once it went in?

I went from a 21 to a 14 and I also noticed the power difference.
