Thanks for all the feedback guys I appriciate it. I think I am going to try the 3200rpm spring and turning up the fuel pump see what happens. Where can I buy the spring from and. What kind of places put it in and turn up the pump. Im in richmond va boats in hampton norfolk area. The wheel is about as big as I can get I have an 18/17 the most I cm go is 18/18 I will also try that. Anything else for more motor power?

I don't think it has a 3200 spring already because when we got it the factory told us to get a guage that went to 3000. So im thinking ill need to upgrade guages and springs where do I get it and who knows how to put it in. ???? Much thanks

Once you verify that you indeed have a VE pump, there's a ton of info in the 'sticky' thread at the top of the 1st gen section. You mention adding fuel...I would definitely invest in at least a pyrometer beforehand...

Red face

Yeah I think im gointo change the spring bc when we got the motor factory told us to get a 3000 rpm guage where do I get the spring. And who puts them in. The wheel I have is an 18/17 the. Most I can go is an 18/18 maybe. But yea finding out where to get the spring and who does it would be great. Who also knows about getting someone to get the flange from a 2nd gen turbo to bolt up and changing the injectors out? I will prob need the pic of the fuel pump so y'all can see what iv got. Also sorry for the typos I have a new droid it spells what it thinks I mean just so y'all don't think im stupid haha

I would think that if it is rated at 250hp that it is a inline p-pump.

The shiny part is the AFC which mounts on top of the pump. The entire assembly is the VE pump.

without AFC

with AFC

Are you possibly thinking of the lift pump that looks more like an automotive gasser pump? It is on the side of the cummins near the starter...Mark

It could be a Lucas CAV pump, all of the stationary engines I have worked on have them.

I will find my picture of one.
