Piston Pump Spacer

When using the 2nd Gen lift pump do I still need that spacer used on the low press. piston pump? And what is the thickness of that spacer might be able to make one as to buying one? Converting to P-pump and just going to use the 2nd gen pump untill I get money then ordering the Airdog.

if i remember right you will need it. The part that rides on the lobe are the same length on both pumps. You do know you will need a regulator of some sort for the 2nd gen pump right?

You definitely need the spacer, its ~1/4" thick, but for the ~$10 it is from cummins, I don't see how its worth your time to make one.

The last I heard, that spacer is 3/8" thick, could be wrong though.

I do not have it in front of me, but I would say it is 1/4 inch thick. I just installed one two days ago.

The spacer itself is certainly not 3/8 inch thick.

It may be 3/8 inch thick if you include both gaskets that are required to go on it.
