Pinion Angle Rear
Hi,
Could someone look up the default pinion angle for a 93 W250. My truck had the 6 inch lift blocks in the rear.
I have installed a shackle flip kit and new (factory springs) springs. I removed the lift blocks but my pinion angle is not correct. Everything else on the drive train is stock. I have a angle finder which I will use to determine the shim angles I need to correct the pinion angle.
I believe on the 93 with the carrier bearing the pinion angle is suppose to match the angle of the output flange on the TC or at least be within 3 degrees of it. Is that an accurate statement?
Thanks for an input.
cheers
Doug

A degree or two nose down from what the output shaft on the transfercase reads. The pinion will raise some during part throttle (level highway cruising) I shoot for 2*down.
