Thanks. It's an older Palomino pop-up style and I'm pretty happy with it, other dealing with some problems caused by the previous owner that is. I've been thinking about buying a brand new one - they've made some improvements to them over the years.

It has a furnace, small 3-way fridge, hot water heater and an outside shower. Suits me pretty well - fairly light and doesn't block the wind like a hard side camper. It only takes about two minutes to set up, maybe five to take down.

Another pic with the top up:

I KNOW it is quicker than an 03.....a friend of mine has one with an automatic, it is stock other then a straight pipe exhaust we made up, I can get about a truck and a half, ahead of him up to 100 MPH......thats about as fast as mine will go, actually 104 MPH...The POD injectors help ALOT and so does the 16cm exhaust housing....The BANKS POWER PACK, also included a bigger intercooler along with the exhaust and pump mods the truck is very responsive......As for the fuel mileage you probably wont even beleave me when I tell you, I drive this truck with my foot to the floor boards everywhere I go, I do a fair bit of highway driving about a 100 miles a day, and I get 23.5 miles to the gallon.....it really does'nt seem to make any difference if I drive it at 65MPH or 90 MPH......keep in mind a CANADIAN GALLON is just a little bit bigger then the American gallon.....actually 4.454 litres is what our gallon is....... NOW if I could just figure out how to put a picture of it up on here, I would be a happy camper ...???? Took some new ones yesterday.......Canucktrucks

Here's my '83 Cummins conversion/5spd.
Started life as a D-350LE, srw, Crewcab, short box(149"wb),360, auto, .I converted it to 440 ,auto. Then to a Dualey. now its a 360 again (cummins this time) and I streched the frame to 163"
I think I'm done with magor changes now...Maybe.

Always an ongoing project I think. Mechanics are done, now onto the Body. Being a daily driven truck, you only get so much done at a time. But over time it will be done.

Do yourself a favor and get the whole truck for the swap. I almost bought a motor, but you need way too many things from the donor truck to do it that way.

Petes right, a whole truck will make the job easer and more complete.
You will have points of referance to compare from old to new (more differances than you would expect) and all the parts should be there. It's a easy swap, It took two weekends to get mine done. That included converting the crewcab into a stick.
