PIc of speed sensor on a 2WD

Where is the speed sensor located on a 2wd? my O/D odometer, and speedo just went out?

Near the back of the trans on the driver's side. Or in your case, laying on the crossmember.

where the best place to get them? Napa or is it dealer only??
thanks the sensor is in place and on the outside nothing looks wrong with it?

Jesussaves, great user ID! I just did this on my 2wd 5 sp. truck week before last. Got the sensor from Advance Auto parts, $38. They didn't have it in the store but got it there same day. Everything looked fine on mine from the outside too but when I removed it I found the square drive shaft was rounded. Works great now.

did yours come with a diffent plug that you had to cut off the old one and splice a new one on? I went to napa and it came with a diffent style plug that you had to splice on? i passed on it because i didnt want to get into that BTW when i pulled the old one the drive shaft looked fine it wasnt rounded?

Mine did come with the extra plug to splice on but the new sensor had the correct plug so all I had to do was plug & play, no splicing. This is BWD brand part from Advance Auto, part number S8025. I have hopefully attached 2 pics to this post.
