That is the same grille that came from the factory on my '85 crew cabs.

IIRC it is a direct bolt in for the 1990 grille?

The head lights will be slightly out of wack in the turn signal surrounds that bolt to the grille.
When I reused my '85 crew cab grille on a '89 core support it took me a few days before I even caught it.
I left it that way to see if anyone else would ever pick it out.
It has been six years or so since the conversion and even at car shows, I almost never get a comment on it.
I owned my crew cab for so long before swapping it to Cummins power, I didn't want to loose the grille I was accustomed too.

Some of head light adjustment screws on the '89 core support are partially covered by the '85 turn signal surrounds.

I have two '78s and a '79, one is an RC and the other two are Powerwagons, that all have the factory bird bath hood.
My '79 Trail Duster (first car, and the reason I am a Mopar lover) had the newer style hood. I bought it from the original owner and I know he didn't change it. I don't recall the production date, but it was titled a '79.

I owned a '79 Ram Charger with the quad headlights and the newer style hood years ago.
It was super rotten out as it was the local college's security rig before I got it.
Lots of cruising around the salty winter roads and little washing it off by the look of it.
I bought it and dragged it out of the woods for spare parts for the '72 Power Wagon I was driving back then and my girlfriend's '78 Power Wagon needed the NP-203.
Dodge is not known for clean breaks on years / parts, they seem to use what they have until they run out.

10-4 on that. I bought a pretty rusted up 77 D200 for the drivetrain years ago, and it had one pre-76 door and one later style (dimple around the exterior handle) It looked to be factory paint.
