Overdrive wiring Question.

Just curious, I am having the same problem as trooperthorn. Do I test by switching the module wires (orange and white) together? or do I switch them with a wire I run to ground? I have a 91.5 w200 with correct wiring harness, so thats not an issue. Just trying to verify before I fry my pcm. thanks.
Wow, I figured they'd want about three times that much. They must have more of those laying around than they think they can sell.

I knew this would happen, but since I put the override switch in hooked up to the red wire at the tranny od unit, I have not changed a thing. I still have a wire coming up through the floor and a toggle switch in the pocket in the front edge of the seat. It is pretty redneck, but it does give me complete control over the od.

I ended up going with one of the previous threads advising the red/white wire from the pcm. Jumped that out and now have normal operation. I have since located a bad abs? proportioning valve in the rear frame rail of the truck. I did check my temp sensors. They seemed fine . So I replaced them. The connector leading from the rearend sensor was corroded, so I wired that in solid. Honestly I picked this truck up from the junkyard because it ran. And have slowly been bringing it up to tow rig status. Only two thousand total dollars invested. I dont think I will be replacing the rear proportion valve. And the o.d. override switch is now perm. Thanks for the cool advice and money saving tips.

Hi,
The one on the trans is for hot shutdown with two orange wires correct ? Got part # ?
Also need the part number of the 3 wire cold operation "thermoswitch" on the side of the cylinder head.
Thanks, for the 91.5 inter cooled in my signature.
