over revving Big time,please advise!!???
So I turned up the "power screw" a little , didnt max it , maybe a couple of turns.Im trying to get the idle adjusted but it is over revving huge when I fire it up.How far do you generally have to adjust the idle screw to get it back to a normal idle?Or am I just doing something wrong? Please advise me on this.
Thanks guys!

It's common for the base engine idle to increase with turning up the fuel screw. Just back out the idle screw some (Counter Clock-wise).
Should you find that the idle will not come down, even though you've got the idle screw WAY back, you need to add some length to the short piece of linkage that connects the IP bell-crank to the throttle cable assembly.
You can lengthen the linkage by loosening the jamb nuts at each end and rotate the shaft. One way shortens it, the other makes it longer.
Give it just enough length for the idle to come down to where you can just set the idle screw. Any more and you end up cutting short the complete throttle travel length.
Clear as mud?
If it's indeed winding up and staying wound up at VERY high rpm, then yes you could be into runaway. But that's with the engine screaming WOT. Not a high idle.
