The old girl on the road again
The old girl has got me From Florida to Texas again with no problems. EGTs were a little higher with the bigger trailer but manageable. Never got over 1250 on any of the hills and only had to shift down from 5th on one incline between San Antonio and Kerrville Texas. We are in Fredricksburg now and heading on out to Sonora to vist the caverans tomorrow and then on the Ft Davis which is at 5,000 feet so I think a little downshifting will be required on those mountians. Getting 13.5 mpg average which is better than expected with 10 or 11,000 lbs behind me. Having a little A/C problem but my freon 12 is in Florida so it will have to do on this trip, not sweating but not too cold either, opened the heater box and cleaned out the evaporater in San Antonio which helped some. This will be the first time since 1992 that any freon has been added so I guess that is not too bad. Almost 1/2 way through our trip as we will turn around at Ft Davis and head back though Dallas on the way back to Florida, then after servicing the A/C we will head back out maybe farther south in Florida or possibly up into Tennesee, who knows. Here we are in Fredricksburg for one more night anyway.

Well I don't know too much about them off the top of my head right now,crs syndrom or something. They were bought quite a few years back, they were called power wagons but I can't remember too much about them. Let me think on it a while and maybe I will remember the specs or maybe someone will chime in that does.

Thanks guys, I am enjoying myself so much I may never go home again. The red paint was added to my truck when it was new by the body shop I used to work at, I have never seen another one like it.
