SOLVED!!!!! Transmission mount chaffed through insulation on B+ cable. Don't know how I didn't see it last time I was crawling around under there. I even removed the bolt from the mount and jacked the tranny up so I could get a good look at the cable. Totally didn't see it. Its just about dark right now, and I was going over every inch with a flashlight (I tend to focus on details better looking at things in the dark with a flashlight? (Hey, im weird! LOL) and, sure enough, there is a spot about .300" in diameter that has been chaffed down to bare copper. The spot where it shorts on the tranny mount doesn't even look bad? Crazy stuff. I need to give huge props to j_martin!!! He has been a tremendous help in helping me find that little bugger! Thanks man! I will figure out a way to pay it forward!

Dude,
You're already paying it forward.... That's what life is all about. Helping those whom you don't know, and have no reason to help.
Your threads help all of us... either by keeping our minds rumbling, our thoughts bumbling, or our fingers stumbling.
Just buy him an imaginary beer, and pay for someone's coffee @ the local lunch spot.... That will do....

Heck yea! I have already pulled the whole cable. When I bought that 2/0 I bought 100ft. Made a new cable. Found a better/safer/more permanent way to route it. Wrapped it with the silly plastic loom. And snaked it in there! It will have 10 addell clamps securing it total. I have 5 more to install. And it does not come within 3 inches of anything that moves, or the exhaust! What a relief to be past this one!! LOL, back to the real meat of this project. Thanks for all the help folks!

I have followed your quest to solve this since your first post. What a puzzle. Glad you got it solved. NJTman is right, I learned a lot from the process alone as I am sure many others did as well.
