OK guys help me out with speedo and odometer

the speedo and odometer dont work this was an all of a sudden thing to worked when i parked it but not now and i have already checked the sending unit on the tranny

I had issues with mine working, and then dying suddenly and it was in the factory plug that plugs into the vehicle speed sensor. I replaced the plug and all is well.

That is the cause the majority of the time. Or it is loose.

i broke the vss sensor it's self, i just pulled it off and twisted the one end, and i could hear all the chuncks inside, i dont think it liked the boost launches to well.

i dinked with it and it came apart the (square pin thing with the little gear came out and there is 1/2 hanging by the wires and the other 1/2 still attached) now what is that bad??????????????

Did you break the reducer or the VSS itself?

well after i cleaned off the last 19 years worth of crap
i found out that what i said in the previous post is not broke but had come unscrewed and the (electrical part) was bad???? idk how but it is some how
so i cleaned everything up and replaced that (electrical thing) i t works

now on to the next task the speedos off by 15 EX(70 actual = 85 on speedo)

Is your VSS screwed right onto the trans or is there a 90 degree adapter fitting? Sounds like you are missing the adapter.

idk it comes out over (gear box) over out then the wires if that helps
