Oil Pressure Schematic Question
I am not an electrician and am not sure of some of the wiring schematic symbols.
What I need to know is .......is there a ground wire on the connector at the oil pressure unit that attaches to the motor?
In the wiring schematic in the Chilton manual I have, I dont know if the schematic is showing the gray/yellow wire as being the ground, or if it is telling me that the sending unit is the ground via the motor.
I fixed my speedometer by grounding it to the neg. battery post today, and was thinking of grounding the sending unit as well to see it that helps it work properly. Just want to make sure I am not back-feeding power somewhere else that would cause me even more headaches.
So I guess my question is: Is the gray/yellow wire the ground or is it grounded via the sending unit. TIA

There are 2 separate systems inside the sender,
1) The resistance unit for the Gauge and
2) A switch for the OIL light brought out through the 2 pins, the ground is through the body as said above.
