Oil pan replacement
So it appears my oil pan has a leak from the bottom of the pan. Lots of scale rust so I’m believing it just rotted out. Where is the best place to get a new one? How are the aftermarket ones VS Cummins OEM? And can this be done with just lifting the motor a little or not at all?

MoparMarv, I took mine off recently cause of leaks around the seal. Take off your back valve cover undo you motor mounts and loosen up the transmission. With an engine hoist lift it up and you can get under the truck and slide the pan back towards you, a 2nd set of hands is VERY helpful you may need bar the engine over to get the cam lobes to cooperate with the pan.
Get a new oil pickup tube gasket and make sure you use some emery cloth and a gasket scraper to get all the old gasket off and clean up the surface. Also get some gasket shellac and some RTV for the joints on the pan gasket and where the pan gasket meets the timing gear housing.
I would check with Oliver to see how much he wants for a pan. or Genos garage wants $220 for a cummins oem.

Wait maybe this is the wrong meeting....Haha
Kidding aside, I have a lot of 1st gen and 2nd gen Dodge Cummins trucks and parts for them.
I am sure I could dig up a good used oil pan if you wanted one.
Otherwise I have seen them in Geno's catalog where I get most of my filters and gaskets from.
