Oil pan interchange

My oil pan is very crusty from the truck being parked in the barn yard all its previous life. I have a line on a pan from a 1997 12V 2wd and the are different part numbers. This part is perfect and I can get for cheap. Does anyone know if it will interchange?

Thanks

The pan will bolt to the engine, and it will fit in the truck. I'm not sure if there will be any pickup tube issues.

Yes, I did the same, fit fine. The one I used was 1 qt. smaller, no issues with the pickup.

For the 'cool factor', an oil pan from an industrial truck, Ford, Freightliner is 4 gallons vs. our 3 gallon pan. Will bolt right up and you don't have to do a thing to the pickup.
