Oil and crud on the tranny

My trans (manual Getrag 360) is apparently seeping some oil from a few places. I am thinking about pulling the trans in the near future to put new gaskets and seals where appropriate.

Has anyone done this (dumb question in this forum) and would like to share insights on removal, installation of gaskets and seals, and installation. Interested especially in any 'gotchas'.

Thanks!

I can't tell you how to rebuid it but, my leaks came form the two screw that are there to keep the shifter from rotating. mine was all but ready to fall out when i found it. The boot that gos over the shift tower wasn't installed!
the clamp and the boot were there just not over the tower.
and a couple bolts were the tower/shift asembly ataches to the tranny were loose.........sofare no more leaks!!!

Rumor has it, the reason they leak is because they don't have a good enough vent which causes too much psi build up and then which causes leaks
